Dear Amanda,
I have just caught up with your posts on this new site and I think that your Rheumatologist sounds very good indeed!
I, like you, treat my R.A with red wine in the evening. (I was a teatotaller before having to deal with R.A!)
Even my three kids couldn't manage to drive me to it but the R.A did! (My Rheumatologist knows that I like my red wine and doesn't mind.)
Wishing you a pain free time with your hip.
Best wishes,
FionaWink

LOL, I wish I could say my darling children hadn't driven me to red wine...hang on, they didn't, I was a red wine lover way way before!

On our first date Mark and I managed three bottles of Fleurie and no food! Then Mark had to return to Chambers and I had to find my way home!

Hmm,

Love,

Amanda

Dear Amanda,

It must be such a relief to know that there is not such a rush, as it appeared prior to your last steroid depot, to have your hip done. Thank goodness! It would be good if it could hold until the summer when you could at least recover in the garden rather than stuck indoors with rain drops running down the window!
Your rheumie sounds human: to admit to having OA and to needing an operation is illuminating enough but GLENFIDDACH! You are lucky to have such a man of taste.

Hope that your knee recovers and remains pain free.

Eleanor x

Hello Amanda

I've been busy with visitors arriving today (14 hours to go and counting), only just be catching up with things.

Pleased to see your appointment went well.

What a coincidence that your consultant is having the same problems with his hip. He will know exactly how you are feeling.

I will try to email you in the next few days, but can't promise to do it.

I like your new picture.

Love to you all

Paula x x

Hi Amanda

Glad to hear that your appointment went well.

Nice also tp see that some consultants can act a bit more 'human'.

Keep on the red wine - bit partial myself.Wink ThumpUp

Dear Amanda

So thankful the appointment went well.

Keep drinking the red wine!! Meeting Doreen later for lunch so I'm sure we'll toast you in something alcoholic!

Lots of love

Hi Amanda,

I`m glad the appointment went well, and that hip surgery is not imminent. I hope the steroid injection gives you some respite, and lasts until after Christmas and New Year.

Your rheumy sounds nice - human, which is more than some can be. I like the odd drop of malt myself, though only very occasionally these days.

Take care,

Kathleen x

We had a lovely lunch thanks Amanda, but sadly once again Jean overdid the alcohol.
She was last seen fishing the paper napkin out of her capaccino.RollEyes

I won't mention her groping Santa.

Doreen xx

We are now on our way to your house for the kedgeree!LOL
